I had a 9am exam today, so I left for college about 20 mins early, but thanks to a broken vehicle 20 miles away in Stretford I was well over an hour late for my exam. Isn't that just fabulous? I got absolutely *******ed by both the exams officer (whom hates me guts already) and then by my parents, who rang up metrolink who told them there were no problems with the system. No problems, I suppose the manchester evening news just made this story up then.http://www.manchesteronline.co.uk/ne...ink_chaos.html *rolls eyes*

If I'd have been another 4 mins late (ie. if I hadn't ran from the stop) I wouldn't have been allowed to take the exam, which btw was pitiful.

i also have an intrinsic hatred for inspectors, even when i have a ticket i feel like giving them trouble,

it's not normally so bad this time of year, terrible during winter - but yeh lol don't get the met if you have an exam

Aww no! I'd be pissed off as hell and screaming down my phone at the metro office calling them all uncomplimentary names! My parents would be as well. Have you showed them the article.

Good thing physics was nice today.

the metrolink company irritate me to the point of madness, the charge £4.60 for a return from altrincham to manchester in the morning, and they get that from a lot of people - and they can't improve their services at all - if they spent more on making the trams more efficient than spending it on hordes of grey-jacketet irritations, they'd be great

Yeah I know it's ridiculous but I have two morning exams left and I'm just gonna get a cab to picadilly. It's one thing screwing over my physics Alevel which I didn't really care about, if something happens to my maths grades I'd be absolutely livid.

The inspectors are indeed infuriating, it would cost them nothing to be a bit nicer and a bit more patient. Heh funny story, me and my friends were going from St Peter's Square just upto to market street a week or so ago, and we were talking quite loudly and obnoxiously about the inspectors, taking the piss out of them, saying how we'd pretend we couldn't speak english if they got on, saying how vicious they've become over the past few months, calling them lesbians  anyway, got to market street, and the woman sitting next to me gets up and says "tickets please!" ... Undercover inspectors sat next to us all that time!

I'd like to write them a nice letter. But I can hardly say "Your ****up cost me my Alevel and university place" because well it didn't, it was just a ridiculous inconvenience.
