I am French and I am currently applying to universities through UCAS, I was wondering if I could take a course with a French pathway even if this is my native language ?

Hi,

Different universities take different approaches so you would be best to contact those you are considering and ask them specifically.

To give you two examples from personal knowledge: University of East Anglia has a fast-track French pathway on some of its undergraduate language courses (media/translation) for native speakers of French. University of Essex on the other hand would not allow you to take any French module other than the Translation, Interpreting and Subtitling module, which they offer to final-year students.

Hope this helps. Good luck.
