Microbiology Efficacy of Antimicrobial Preservation help!

Hi all,
Struggling with a section for my report. In the BP, one of the test organisms to be used was Aspergillus brasiliensis, however our Practical Handbook had Bacillus Subtillis. One of the questions was, why was Bacillus Subtilis an option instead of Aspergillus brasiliensis? What was the reason for this deviation?

Thanks in advance.

B. subtilis is a spore-forming micro-organism that is very resistant to extreme conditions, e.g. high temperatures, high/low pHs, and various bactericidal substances. I know that A. brasiliensis is used for pharmaceutical microbiology quality control testing, so I would presume that these two species have many things in common.
