robotics...?

Is a mechanical engineering degree can help me specialize later on robotics?
Yes, it's a part of mech eng called mechatronics. But really anyone can get into robotics from different degrees like software engineering/computer science or the obvious one like engineering. The hard part of robotics is actually telling/teaching it what to do, which lies in the software/program that you the engineer write for it because everyone can build a robot in terms of hardware but only few can actually make it do useful/cool stuff. So if you're really into robotics look into courses that focus a lot more on it like a straight mechatronics/robotics course or even software engineering/ electrical engineering, they're more suited for robotics imo. But if you think you might change your mind then definitely go for mechanical as you have lots of themes so specialise in later on.

Thanks for giving your opinion
I agree it does have lots of area to specialize on, main reason I am going for it
I would say go for EEE or Systems over mechanical engineering if you want to get into robotics as it is much more based in those fields than it is in mechanical engineering.
