Reapplying after rejections??

Ok, so last year was a bit of a mess. I had offers from Kings (Firm) and Greenwich (insurance) to study midwifery, but i missed the grades required. Because i was abroad, i didnt have my results, and couldnt get them till the next day.... and so i couldnt apply through clearing. At the end of September I thought I'd try my luck through clearing, there were no midwifery spaces, so i tried pharmacology and got it. Now, i'm seriously regretting it and want to drop out, and re apply to midwifery (because thats what i wanted to do all along).

Now i'm going to apply to unis again, and wanted to know if anyone else has done this or something similar? What are the chances of me getting in this time round? or will it all be a waste of time.....
