Is the awarding body important (post-compulsory level 5)?

Hi all,
In my local area there are two courses running at different institutions for the Diploma in Education and Training Level 5. One is Canterbury Christ Church University, the other is being delivered by the awarding body Pearson. Here's the course info pages:

Ashford College (CCCU Awarding Body)
http://ashford.ac.uk/courses/education-and-teacher-training/250-university-courses/573-diploma-in-education-training-det

Canterbury College (Pearson Awarding Body)

I'm interested to know your thoughts whether the awarding body would have an impact on employment once completing the course teaching Maths in Further Education?
This is the course I ultimately want to do (currently doing the level 3 award). Be sure to apply for the bursary that comes with maths. Do some Googling, I believe it still exists although you may need to find a maths specific DET which could be worth the extra travel to a college that offers it.

Regarding your question, both awarding bodies are recognised and it's a case of same difference. Both the courses are at a college. It's more when doing the training privately that you have to check the validity of the awarding body (I searched for somewhere that used VTCT because they awarded my beauty therapy qualifications).

Would love to know how you get on with this because not enough people share experiences of DET compared to PGCE.

Cheese and rice! Massive price difference for what is ultimately the same thing!

Ok definitely go for Canterbury College if it's a choice between the two
