Chris- it isn't a problem that you don't speak Spanish. The sad fact is that the majority of Spaniards in the service industry (in any shape/form) can speak at least passable English. At least give it a go .

They might do around the typical holiday destinations, but she's in Salamanca, west of Madrid... English is very rare around there.
