Thats slave labour especialy for a sunday, I am not sure if its even legal to pay you that little. I £5 an hour delivering leaflets and I thought that was bad, I also get £8 an hour in another more skilled job.

£2.50 is just diabolicle, how old are you 17/18? If you're 18 they have to pay you the minimum wage which is £3.60 for 18 year olds I think.

Then report them, they cannot legaly pay any 18 year old £2.50 an hour its a serious crime.

Your seriously getting the wool pulled over your eyes, £2.50 is soooo shit. The minimum wage for 18 year olds is £3.60 (I think, it may have changed). Is it a family business, or just some poor sandwich shop?

they said at the interview "they'd pay me £2.50 which is minimum wage' i thought at 18 that would be higher though
then again the factory place is in a rough area ( higher fold)

They are talking abosulute bollocks, they are breaking the law, if you can proove they have said this you can get them into serious serious trouble with the law. I will find you the website, but I think the minimum wage for you is £3.60 which means thats £1.10 an hour too short.

Here is the mimimim wage site

http://www.dti.gov.uk/er/nmw/

from october £4.10 is the minmum for 18 year olds. Its currently £3.80. These fat cat bosses really annoy me trying to get slave labour from young people. They want locking up.

How old is she? If she is 18 she can take him/her to court and she will, she will get pay back dated and probably get some compensation as well.

ok then what you do is get a video camera or something and record them saying you will be paid £2.50p/h. or record the post man delivering the salary to you.
if you really wanted to take them to court, you could, they wouldnt deny it and you would have back up from friends.
compensation of £1000 is not out of the question. 'no win, no fee'

Erm I am sure inland revenue would like to hear about this, they have to give you pay slips by law evenif you don't earn enough to pay tax. If you take this job its cash in hand you will be up to your kneck in it almost as much as he is. He is a crinimal basicaly.

The only way round it is if you work for yourself, which in a factory condition is near impossible. I bet he dosn't even have employers protection insurance from what you have said.

He will be prison though for breaking tax laws, pay slips are law so you the employee can produce evidence of how much they have been paid should inland revenue want to see them.
