That's okay

I hope you realise the ""'Name the anime' quiz"" in the 'Today on TSR' widget on the right?

I've got all but the 'watched threads' and 'rep received' widgets hidden. :p: But cheers, I'll take a look (and might leave it enabled, if it doesn't clutter up the page too much)

I don't normally watch dubbed versions but that looks like it was adapted very well!

If you can find the bit where he introduces Ruka in the dubbed version, it's hilarious

Anyone read Bleach, FT and One Piece manga? :indiff:

Nearly done with Fate/Stay Night: Unlimited Blade Works. It's definitely enjoyable, but seems to fall into a few cliches and seems to be trying too hard to incorporate loads of plot twists...

That said, the animation sequences are flawless. Going to watch Fate/Zero when I'm done. Anyone seen this? It's on Netflix :h:

Finished Is the Order a Rabbit?? Very cute. Now going to alternate between Food Wars! & Shirobako for the next couple of weeks.
Happy 5th 'Month of Anime GET!' day to me~

Just finished watching Steins;Gate and my lord it is my favourite

The feeeels :woo:

Excellent taste Sir. :hat:

The Japnese voice acting in SG is incredible. Love Mamoru Miyano, who voices Okabe (also Kiba Wolf's Rain, Ling FMA, Kida Durarara!! and Light Deathnote).

So, err, tried watching Mirai Nikki, but didn't get past episode 4. The yandere character, Yuno, when her bikini came off in the swimming pool because her boobs were too 'gigantuan...' No, anime, you lost me.

The only thing I'm currently watching is Durarara!!x2 Ketsu. I really want to pick up another anime.

Any recommendation of 'thriller' type animes? I do like me some psychological thrillers (Psycho Pass, Parasyte, Zankyou No Terror, Madoka...)

The last series I watched in full was Subete ga F ni Naru. I really wanted to like this series more than I did. I’m not particularly adversed to philosophical discourse, but a lot of it just felt like pseudo-intellectual padding.

I think I'm becoming difficult to please in my old age. :frown:

This is the exact same point where I gave up on it too...

I'd highly recommend Shin Sekai Yori, Gankutsuou and/or Bokurano, if you haven't already watched them.

yes, another durarara fan.

dont worry about age (im 24 lol). in terms of thriller type, code geass, gundam 00 or iron blooded orphans, although they involve mech as well as drama (but its "real" robot as opposed to super robot). aldnoah zero is also a mech anime but has super robot instead of real robot action (ie more scifi based). cowboy bebop is good allrounder and is generally regarded as a classic.

iron blooded orphans has me hooked and is generally considered 1 of the best anime to debut last year ( a lot of people have included it in their best lists). with ibo however, be warned about the deathtoll (not as bad as late 90s gundam but is still high).

code geass is also in a lot of peoples top 5 anime of all time lists but personally, I reckon 00 was better than geass (excluding awakening of trailblazer, which is only decent for visuals and an epic final fight).

in terms of action/comedy, id currently recommend one punch man, lupin III (part 4 / blue jacket) and dragon ball super (super only if ur into dbz).

people say death parade is good but havent gotten around to viewing it

speaking of durarara x2 ketsu

Spoiler

Is anybody going to the MCM Telford Expo on February 13th? I'll be there! Probably not in costume though, that'll have to wait for Minamicon in March...

A sequel hasn't been announced or confirmed yet, to my knowledge. ANN hasn't mentioned anything about one.

hey, ive been looking to find a couple of manga that are similar to these (which ive already read)
So ive read:
The Breaker/The Breaker new waves which is pretty much my favourite manga out of everything ive read so far
Veritas
Change Guy
Holyland

The theme and concept is similar with a weak main character, learning martial arts etc to get stronger and mad things happen pretty much. any recommendations?

Based on that description, maybe History's Strongest Disciple Kenichi? I've only watched the anime myself (which was good fun), but the manga is highly rated, and far longer.

A few other series that I found which seem to fit the bill are Buyuden, Full Contact and/or Tenjho Tenge - I've got no idea whether they're any good or not, but possibly worth looking into?
