erm.... thank you... but I have a request to you. Long ago, so long ago, I heard a soundtrack of her which I went blank. The song sticked in my memory, but not the name. That is why I need your help.

It was an anime with a vampire girl... with black hairs...black and long hairs... I knew the name of the anime for so long years, but I can't even keep that in my mind. Can you help me?

I know all the anime series she's composed the soundtracks for, but none featured vampire girls with long black hair (unless I'm forgetting the character in question!)

According to Google she provided music for the video game version of Blood: The Last Vampire, but not the movie itself - could it be that you've heard?

[EDIT] Pandora Hearts features an ageless, mysterious girl with long black hair as a main character, but she's not a vampire.

Nope, that isn't the soundtrack I am talking about.

Could be it was an added soundtrack of Kajiura, that is to say, it comes from another anime. But to come back to the anime I am still searching for: It was a vampire girl, with an appearance of a young adult or a mature teen. A castle exists in this anime. The vampire girl herself wears girly-like clothes.

I've found the overall quality quite high, personally, but the season definitely lacks a single standout series. I was also disappointed with the first episode of Occultic;Nine, and didn't pick it up, though I've heard the second is supposedly better?

Honestly, the only reasons the second episode is an improvement over the first is because the pacing was much, much slower and because Ryouka barely appeared at all. There's still not a lot that's impressing me with it, but I suppose it could improve if it continues to handle its pacing properly.

Anyway, other than Occultic;Nine, I'm currently watching 7 other full length shows, and I'm definitely feeling the absence of Re:ZERO from my schedule; nothing I'm watching so far is getting me anywhere near as excited as that did, but that's not surprising.

March Comes In Like A Lion
Definitely the show I'm enjoying the most so far, with the SHAFT-Shinbo combination working as well as ever. Everything about this show screams pure quality so far, and already it's showing a lot of promise. I do have two concerns though: the manga for this series is by the same person who made Honey and Clover, a series I really didn't like at all and I'm concerned this series may turn in a similar direction to that at some point. Also, the side characters introduced in the second episode introduced with them some awful, tonally-jarring comedy (I'll say more about this with Drifters) that completely crushes the mood at times (less of those side characters, please). Other than that, looks very promising so far and has my favourite OP and ED of this season.

Natsume's Book Of Friends 5
Not really a lot I can say here, as it's basically business as usual if you've watched the previous four seasons. Thankfully, it's still as good as ever and you really can't tell that the animation studio has changed since the fourth season (was Brain's Base but is now Shuka).

Ajin: Demi-Human 2nd Season
Having long since gotten use to the CG animation, which really isn't that bad but definitely worked better with Sidonia, I can't complain about that aspect, and other than that this has started right where the first season left off, with Satou's plans still being as interesting as ever.

Magical Girl Raising Project
This was one I was very excited for coming into the season, and so far it's actually surpassed my expectations despite not carrying out its plot in quite the way I had anticipated (so far at least). Lots of Madoka parallels will obviously be made, not least because Fav is basically Kyubey crossed with Monokuma, but this show doesn't seem to be adopting quite the same approach as Madoka Magica did, and for that it has managed to keep my interest so far.

Poco's Udon World
Basically the Sweetness & Lightning of the season (Souta even has the same voice actor as Kouhei from that show), but that is definitely not a bad thing, especially when it has so far managed to stray away from being as formulaic as that show was. First episode's twist at the end kinda lost me a bit, but the second episode more than made up for it and reminded me much more of the show that seems to have started this "adult male caring for young child" subgenre in Usagi Drop.

Bungo Stray Dogs 2nd Season
OK, it's all flashbacks so far, but I think I'm actually enjoying this flashback way more than I was the main plot, not least because the approach is much more serious and has lacked the unfunny "comedy" that was so prevalent in the first cour. Sadly I think the main plot returns after one more episode of flashbacks, but if I get to see Atsushi and co beat up the guy who wrote The Great Gatsby, I sure as hell won't be complaining.

Drifters
I'm really quite conflicted about this one. On the one hand, I love the art style the show is using and I really enjoy the fight scenes and other serious moments. But then comes the tonally-jarring comedy that not only ruins the mood entirely but also has to be done in a ridiculous art style that makes it even less funny than it already is. Take the pivotal scene near the end of episode two, for instance. It would have been much more powerful if the serious mood was allowed to continue , but the show instead decides to focus on the "hilarity" of Nobunaga offering Toyohisa a seat. Sure, it leads to an awesome shot of our three protagonists afterwards, but the ends don't justify the means in this case at all. It's really frustrating cos I want to like this show so much more than I do, but the comedy is so bad, pointless and tonally-jarring that it is already a massive hindrance on the show; some levity every so often is fine, but the serious mood works far better for both the subject matter and the actual story being told.

Overall, there are more stronger shows than last season, but the season as a whole seems weaker and much less exciting than Summer was, and that's not just because of Re:ZERO.

The weird comedy moments in Drifters are a little jarring; if I remember correctly, Hellsing had the same, but they were consigned to after the ED theme so felt more like a humorous extra? Slap-bang in the middle of an otherwise serious and quite violent scene, they definitely don't feel right. :s: Other than that, it's certainly one of the best shows I'm watching this season.

Bulls-eye!!!This is the anime I was talking about. By the way, I have found the name of the soundtrack. Here it is:

It is Seal and Epitaph. Does it really exist in Tsukuyomi: Moonphase? what do you know about this anime?

Boy, the video is over 9 years old! no wonder I have not remembered for a little while.

That's two tracks there - The first part is Fuuin (which means Seal in English), which I recognized from the soundtrack of Elemental Gelade. I was listening to that this morning, actually! Unfortunately this doesn't seem to have been uploaded to Youtube, so you'll have to trust me on that!

The second tune I didn't recognise, but is apparently from .hack//LIMINALITY:

I've not listened to that soundtrack as I've not watched the LIMINALITY OVA yet, and am saving it until then.

Regarding Moonphase, I watched it YEARS ago (2006? Maybe early 2007?), so my memory for the plot and characters isn't great. I remember it being very cute, a lot of silly comedy, but it could be serious when it needed to be. The directing by SHAFT's Akiyuki Simbo was amazing though, it certainly stood out visually (as you can see from the video you posted).

Too bad I sold my Nintendo 3DS and the 'New' Nintendo 3DS. Also all the games. I do want to play Sun & Moon, but I don't really want to get addicted to games again. Got studies to worry about.

For anyone intrested in berserk 2016 but hasnt seen it yet. Seems they're redoing the dodgy cg in a more classic style for the bluray release. Heres a comparison gif I nicked off the anime subreddit.

I had become used to the CG in Berserk 2016 enough to be able to tolerate it, but it seriously does look SO much better on the left. Hopefully this means they'll do Berserk 2017 like that from the start if they've finally gotten used to it, as this would seem to suggest.

You haven't seen real anime until you have seen JoJo. It is like a classic that brings shame on modern anime.

Long time no see! :zomg:

Hey AJ how you doing  Congrats on the promotion :adore: :ninja: Sorry for the late reply, I forgot about coming back on here after posting :colondollar:

Hope everyone is well! Good to see some of you oldies still post on here :p: and the newbies

Trying to get myself back into anime, I've barely watched any the last couple of years, but I've been reading a ton of manga during that time, maybe that's replaced my anime watching as I never really felt the urge to watch any or maybe I just lost interest in it :dontknow:

I am strangely tempted to go to the MCM London Comicon this weekend. I saw a guy walking behind me in a Goku robe (I think he was lol I didn't have my glasses on) when I was getting my haircut this morning which made me remember there was a con around this time of the year :p: Last time I went was like 7 years ago :lolwut:

Some of the shows I've seen recently:

Konosuba - Disappointing, comedy was OK but everything else felt lacking
Relife - Loved it, really well done, went onto the manga after finishing the anime. Hishiron :awesome:
Re:Zero - I did watch this went it was airing, got halfway through the series, then I got spoilered on Youtube :facepalm2: which put me off watching the rest, but will try and finish it this weekend. Awesome show.

Just a little bit late. :p: But good to hear from you again!

Sorry to hear you got spoilered for Re:Zero, I'd have hated that. :s: Worth watching regardless though, I guarantee it.

Am I allowed to do a giveaway or something on here? I have 2 anime DVD boxsets I can't be bothered to sell on ebay. Rather give them to someone who has more passion for anime than me.
