    Charlord - goto http://www.urbandictionary.com and type in narb. There are different definitions but I'd guess these guys are using the 2nd one.

    Sillynarb - I prefer the acronym myself, and I suspect that's what you're using it as too

    Just random people. It's useful for weird net acronyms like AFAIK, IIRC - that sort of thing

    Actually AFAIK isn't an acronym.

    It's called an alphabetism.

    The simple difference is acronyms are words, which stand for something, which you pronounce as the whole word together, and alphabetisms are words, which stand for something, which you spell out.

    lol can be an acronym surely, if you actually pronounce it as one word like 'loal'
