Short about me:

Third year maths at Warwick, average score is 79% for year 1, 82 % for year 2. I have taken several computer science modules (Intro to programming, Maths by computer, C, Scientific programming and Parallel programming), and several statsy ones (Prob A/B, intro to stats, stochastic processes, Markov processes and percolation theory, Measure theory). I have generally focused on PDE's, analysis, computing and stochastics. What might hold me back that the module I've done the worst in has been Prob A/B and Intro to stats where I have scores around 65% (To my defense these modules were not very well taught, but that isn't much of an excuse in the application).

I am right now aiming to get into the MPhil in Machine Learning, Language and Speech technology, but other options is MSc in Computational Statistics and Machine Learning (UCL), MSc in Computing (Machine Learning) (Imperial) and finally MSc Artificial Intelligence (Edinburgh).

In terms of brand I think that Cambridge would benefit me in the future, but I am uncertain if the course is better than the others, especially since it's only a couple of years old. Does anyone have any information or experience with regards to how these rank and the job prospects after completion? The opportunities for PhD would be great as well.

Thank you

I would also be interested to know others’ thoughts.

I've been made offers from both Edinburgh and Imperial, and I am waiting to hear from UCL.

I’ve found the following discussions, but they’re a few years old:

Which Machine Learning Msc in the UK (2013)

UCL Msc in Machine Learning or Msc in Computational Statistic and Machine Learning (2013)

What is it like to study master's in machine learning at UCL (University College London)? (2014)

Which is the best institute for pursuing a master's in machine learning in Europe? (2013)

Good luck in your applications, FurtherAway.

Cam focus on Natural language processing so I guess this course need stronger cs background than others, anyway it's just my opinion.
I'm interested in others' thoughts too.
I've received offers from Imperial and UCL, and I'm in the waiting list of Msc Applied Statistics Oxford
Hope your applications go well.

UCL's program has a fantastic reputation. If it's any help, two of the best paid guys at my last employer were from UCL's MSc.

Does anyone have any advices as to whether choose UCL MSc Machine Learning or Edinburgh MSc Artificial Intelligence (with specialisation in Machine Learning). I have a headache over this choice since last week so anything will be appreciated! Thanks!
