The Sultan of Brunei just got crossed off my Christmas card list.

But he still got invited to the royal wedding cos you know....

...oil.
Looks like Somalia has now done this as well as well as Tajikistan

Hardly surprising. I guess that's one place Santa can ignore.
Brunei is a hypocrite. The sultan presents himself like some divine saint like holier than thou god, while his son party, drink, sleep with women like nobody's business. If a commoner does it the punishment would be lashes, stoning. And yet they are in the TPP, and I thought TPP are only for countries with good human right record they said. Bullocks.

So will all you liberals be calling them fascists? racists? bigots?

Christmas is hardly even a Christian festival anyway, so what does it matter that they don't commemorate the pagan winter solstice by exchanging gifts and worshipping the commercialised and bastardised festival which people call 'Christmas'?

Corrected.

Christmas is as pagan in origin and bastardised as the Ramadan fast and the Kaaba rituals yet we should respect Christians', Muslims' and indeed Pagans' rights to practice such relatively harmless events. Even the commercialisation and further bastardisation of Christmas in the more secular countries doesn't take away this right.

Oh and Merry Christmas.

Ah! it's like islams holidays and practices then

But no matter its pagan roots it's a religious holiday for some.

But a good example of empathy there from a fellow believer.

This isn't Rome and the Christians are already there.

and that's not US or UK. you are supposed to obey their laws. you want to become an outlaw? if you are not happy about that, just get your ass out of that country.

Since when has "I'm right because I can" become an acceptable moral framework?
You don't understand the leader of that country? And you don't know things about their laws? whatever.
