try tan-1(tan60) or any number and u will get 60 back

still confused - even more now

well u have got to

tanx=blah blah blah
but u want to find x not tanx

so u have to do arctan or tan^-1 or both sides

to get x=tan^-1(blahblah)

as tan^1(tanx)=x
