Hiya,

I want some help in regards to which essay structure to follow, and if any improvements/suggestions can be made. Also, I am not sure what to include in the introduction.

How do the Eysenck and the Gray theories of 'E' and 'N' agree, and how do they differ? Is either model well supported by the evidence?

Structure 1:
- Introduction
- Similarities between Eysenck and Gray theories of 'E'
- Differences between Eysenck and Gray theories of 'E'
- Similarities between Eysenck and Gray theories of 'N'
- Differences between Eysenck and Gray theories of 'N'
- Critique of whether the Eysenck model is well-supported by the evidence
- Critique of whether the Gray model is well-supported by the evidence
- Conclusion

Structure 2:
- Introduction
- Similarities between Eysenck and Gray theories of 'E' and 'N'
- Differences between Eysenck and Gray theories of 'E' and 'N'
- Critique of whether the Eysenck model is well-supported by the evidence
- Critique of whether the Gray model is well-supported by the evidence
- Conclusion

Structure 3:
- Introduction
- Description of Eysenck's biological theories of ‘E’ and ‘N’
- Description of Gray’s theories of ‘E’ and ‘N’
- How Eysenck and Gray’s theories of ‘E’ and ‘N’ agree
- How Eysenck and Gray’s theories of ‘E’ and ‘N’ differ
- Critique of the Eysenck model in terms of evidence
- Critique of the Gray model in terms of evidence
- Conclusion

Any assistance would be lovely.

Hey, I'm doing that question too.

I had a similar idea as structure 2 myself. Personally, I would say do either 1 or 2. Don't wanna babble on descriptions.

In terms of introduction, I was thinking, just a brief description of what E and N are, no more than 2 lines then just about what I'm going to write about. Or maybe a little bit of background on them both, but again, just a few lines!

Hope this is some help!

Hi, did you manage to finish this essay?

Thanks for your advice. You're right, probably best not to waste time with too much descriptive material. I think a background about extraversion and neuroticism would work best in the introduction. What do you think about putting brief descriptive material of Extraversion and Neuroticism in regards to Eysenck and Gray's theories?

It was, thanks again for your input!

Hiya
I gave up on that question. I found the research on it difficult to understand. Any descriptive material you put in, I would say just keep it to a few lines. Just because it doesn't seem like a descriptive essay - But what you are planning seems like a good idea.

Hi,

I don't blame you, it is quite difficult to comprehend the research. Thanks for the guidance, I'll make sure to keep the description minimal, and I believe you're right. I hope so.
