Student Loan - Can you change your mind?

My friend's asked me to ask on here on her behalf...at the moment she's not sure whether she'll be living at home or at uni (her mum's considering moving back to London so she'd live with her) but she wanted to know if she says she's living away from home & then ends up living with her mum can she change that or is it going to cause problems? Is there a deadline she has to change it by?

It doesn't matter when she tells them, the LEA will amend the details when they are told. But there is a huge difference between the London rate of loan and the parental home rate. about £3k
