Is Newcastle good for Mathematics?

I need to know if, in your opinion, Newcastle University is regarded as a good university to go to to study Maths. For instance, will employers for financial positions be please with the fact that you've studied Maths at this university.

Well I know quite a few students in the Maths department and they seem to enjoy the course.

I do maths at newcastle and it's great!!!!!! There is a lecturer here called Robin Johnson and he's a legend! I would love to have him as a grandad. You will love him because he gets really excited over maths! lol!
