hi, im 19 years at age, and i am hoping to get married in 2016 August time.. Im feeling really insecure at the minute because I haven't had sex as yet.. But the thing that terrifys me is that i dont seem to have a hymen.. And as a young girl.. In my religion Bleeding on the first night shows purity and that the girl is untouched. What advice could u give me? When having sexual intercourse is it the hymen that causes the bleeding or something in the virgina? Is their any alternatives that i can take or do that can restore my hymen? I cant speak to anyone in my family or friends as i am realy scared and feel insecure please help me :frown:

There is some surgery but would not recommend it for such a minor incidence, it's not actually unheard of for it to tear whilst performing non-sexual acts such as horse riding, gymnastics etc...

Basically, ignore the superstitious rubbish, it is biology that this can happen without the need for sex.
