do university accept Level edexcel level 1/2 maths certificate

I'm talking about good university like Manchester, warwick and ect. I got a D in my maths exam and i have 2 choices. I can do the level 1/2 certificate (foundation) on January or i could do the normal Gcse in June. When i checked the edexcel GCSE maths date it said may/June 9th and june the 9th is the same day as my government & politics as level exams. Which choice should i do?

Level 2 certificate (i.e. at least a grade C) is fine as an alternative to GCSE. It's exactly the same (apart from the name) as IGCSE with is what a lot of private schools do.
