Lunatic Erdogan cites Hitler’s Germany as example of effective presidential system.

"Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has reiterated his desire to ensure Turkey adopts a presidential system of government and has even cited Adolf Hitler’s Germany as an example of how this can be achieved.Speaking at a news conference, Erdogan was asked by a journalist whether Turkey would be able to keep a unitary structure of government if a presidential system was implemented. “There are already examples in the world. You can see it when you look at Hitler’s Germany,” he said on Thursday, according to a recording broadcast by the Dogan news agency. “There are later examples in various other countries.”

Most people who hate Hitler haven't even listened to any of his speeches. You just hate him because we're bought up to hate him. It is cool to hate. You blame him entirely for the war and think he's pure evil based on a lie that he exterminated millions of people in camps.

Not defending the anti-Semitic lunatic for moral reasons, but on the basis of objective history Germany pre-Nazi was pretty screwed anyway, it was already pounded to rubble and had to cave into the demands of the Western powers.

There was a plan to assassinate Hitler in 1944 but the Allies concluded he was doing more to lose the war for the Nazis alive than dead so they left him alone.

By 1944 I agree with you completely, but that's more a weakness of Hitler than his presidential form of government, if he had someone more competent at the helm I think it may have been different.

He did manage to reduce unemployment by getting a lot of Germans killed and captured so you are right. He also created a lot of job opportunities for slave workers and putting Nazi youth into rocket powered coffins thinly disguised as exploding fighter planes.

I suppose if you ever shot yourself in the head, most people would consider that a success.
