How many quotes do people think is a suitable amount to learn for the final WJEC literature exam? I'm studying King Lear and Oedipus
Learn ones that have good uses. Don't learn quotes that can only be used for one purpose, but learn multi-purpose quotes.
Ideally, you don't want to religiously memorise a set list of quotes, but read your texts thoroughly and many times, so that the quotes come naturally to you.
But I would say, about 20-30 short quotes is a good amount.
