I heard so many people saying how Chemistry is the hardest A level. I am in Year 12 and it seems fairly managable, is it just the beginning thats so easy?

Difficulty is taken and not given, therefore i say Chemistry is just neutral.

I'd say A2 is harder imo, there's two exams, one is 30% and the other 50%. The bigger exam this year is more on physical chemistry which I fine harder than organic chemistry

It's honestly not THAT difficult but is certainly challenging as you really have to UNDERSTAND it rather than just regurgitate knowledge to get the high grades. I'm doing A2 currently.
However once you start doing exam questions then you will see the difficulty in it.
Organic chemistry I think is personally the easiest the learn but the most difficult when it comes to exam questions.

Yes it does start easy and I thought the first term of yr12 was easy. Then it got hard.

Organic reaction pathways and transition metal ion chemistry at A2 involves a lot of memorisation which is not easy, I thought that was the most painful part of the course.

The bit I found most difficult at A level was the second year organic chemistry, which was quite difficult. It's not the hardest though further maths is far and away the hardest A-level.It does depend on what you're good at though, the reason I say that ^ is because I love maths, am doing physics at uni, and still struggled.
It's like anything though, if you enjoy it, and you work hard enough, you'll be fine.

OCR is easy. Was 1ums off an A* and did minimal revision. Just read the book a lot.
