    Hey guys,

I heard a kind of punky boy band version of this played in a club a few weeks ago and I've tried looking for it on kazaa but all I can find are crap crap crap covers. I'd be curious as to whether anyone knows who sings the cover I'm talking about?

    TIA,

    - Adam

I'd guess you were looking for Smashmouth's version. Then again, they would fit into the "crap crap crap covers" section too...

EMF and Reeves and Mortimer did a version too, although it doesn't sound like this is the one you're after.

I think it is the Reeves and Mortimer version

    http://www.everyhit.com/retrocharts/1995-July.html

It was a big hit and it has a punky kind of sound to it. I have it on Now 31.

Sorry to be *really* pedantic, and I know it's not good for me, but it was just Vic Reeves with the Wonderstuff - Bob Mortimer wasn't involved.

I just had to say, whether he was anything to do with the actual song or not, Bob Mortimer is still in the video, banging a tambourine like a mad thing.
    I really shouldn't know that!

Ah right, I stand corrected. Is the video that one where they're in the street? I vaguely remember seeing it a while ago.

Its been absoulutely years since I've seen it, but I think you're right; I'm pretty sure it is in the street.
