Girly problems...guys, you've been warned.

So every once in a while after my bf and I had had sex, I noticed that I'd bleed a little. Not every time, just on occassion. I didn't think it was a big deal because it wasn't very much, I just thought maybe we had been a little rough.
Anyway, a few nights ago it happened again, only this time there was much more blood. It scared me, so I booked an appointment to have a smear done. Afterwards the doctor told me that my cervical cells looked delicate, and that when she had done the smear, they had bled a bit. She said this could be due to birth control pills and that she'd book me an appointment with a gyno because they can do a treatment for it. It will be 4-6 weeks before the actual results of the smear test come back and about 3 months before I can get a gyno appointment.
I'm just wondering though if anyone else has been through this and if they can offer any info or words of advice/encouragement while I'm nervously waiting results for the next few months....
