Title is a bit of an exaggeration, im planning to go up north soon. Only thing is the forecasts I checked out show bad weather. Where can I get a reasonably accurate forecast for when the next dry day will be for somewhere in the UK? In terms of weather systems it seems Jupiter has its Great Red Spot, Earth has the U.K (Great Wet Patch?)

Unfortunately weather is one of those things that you can't predict too far ahead. 24 hour forecasts tend to be pretty good (although I would add an error of +/- 2 hours onto the start and end times of any rain forecast). 3 day forecasts have fair accuracy, but I would only use them as a guide. Beyond that no one can really predict too well. Sure, some major weather systems may be predicted a week or more in advance, but all the little common ones are missed.

Just take a coat.
