P4: The Mandelbrot set?

In MathsNet, the revision for P4 includes The Mandelbrot set but I cant find something like this in the Edexcel specification. Do I need to learn about The Mandelbrot set for P4 or for other pure modules?

Not for edexcel P4. I can't tell you about other exam boards; however, I think the Mandelbrot set is just an interesting piece of maths related to complex numbers which are introduced in P4. They are probably thinking you mind find it intersting, rather than saying that you need it for the exam.

Yeah, the Mandelbrot set is an interesting bit of maths, but fractals don't come up anywhere in the Edexcel Further Maths course. There's only simple stuff sketching inequalities in the complex plane in P6.
