Transgender, can anyone help?

Okay so I've been caught up with trying to discover who I really am for months. So far I've come to the conclusion that whilst I still want to be a male, I want to look like a female. I tell my friends anything and keep dropping hints and telling them little things, but I think they're as confused as I am about how I want to live my life.

Basically I would like a little bit of help with things. I'm 18, slim, longish hair. I guess I'm quite baby-faced but I'm not sure how much I could actually look female. I'm size 10 on the bottom but it varies on the top as I am a male and have a male figure (slim yes but male all the same).

I went out to gay bar on Saturday and the transgendered/drag queens there looked absolutely amazing.

So I think it'd be useful for me and anyone else on this forum who might be going through the same thing. How can I make myself look as convincing as possible? Which make-up and clothes would be ideal?

Thank you x

Why not post in the LGBT soc?
Maybe have a read around, I'm sure other people have wondered the same things

You're not transgendered, you're a transvestite. Congratulations, you've joined the ranks of Eddie Izzard! (if you're straight) and well, many people if you're not!

:ditto:

For clarification purposes:
Transgenderists have a desire to live as the opposite sex to that which they were assigned at birth. They may or may not go through with surgery on their genitalia but many transition and spend their lives on hormone treatment.
Transvestites have no desire to change their physical sex, they just enjoy wearing clothing traditionally worn by the opposite sex. Some may have a fetish and only wear specific items, such as shoes or underwear.
There's also the possibility that the OP is androgynous, but judging from the post it's a slim possibility and it's a bitch to explain what an androgyne is, so I'm not going to bother doing it here :p:

Yeah, feel free to pop into the LGBT soc (we don't bite, honest ) or send me a PM if you wish

Not in the LGBTsoc...Ts are few and far between - of the 125+ members, only about half a dozen have posted saying that they are T....but that doesn't mean there aren't people there who know what they're talking about and could help out

Piccy would help there, I think, particularly for the clothing. Like I said above, feel free to PM me if you wish
In regards to makeup, though, I'd say that the eyes and mouth are perhaps the two areas you should focus on the most. You can find people suggesting good mascara, eyeliner et al if you browse through the F&B forum, so just buy some stuff and play around with it until you're used to applying it in a style that you like

for the top half of your body, i'd recommend going somewhere like new look and checking out their 915 range. It's for younger girls who don't have feminine chests yet, so it would probably be a good cut for you.

ditto what dalimyr said. i mean you can PM me if you want as well. nothing goes out of what is said in PM's.

if your wondering what a Androgyne is, think Pete Burns or boy george, to name a couple.
