Smaller figure than 7 year old??

I know it sounds strange but worried about my figure being unnatractive but not only this it might not be normal. Im 21 and yet my 7 year old cousin has a bigger waste than me, and larger wrists:confused: He is not overweight just chubby but Ive never noticed this before. My waste is 24 inches and hips are 29 im 5ft and my bmi is 19 so im not underweight. People sometimes think im about 14 but is it possible that theres is something wrong as in a growth hormone delay or something? I know its a bit late now I wasn't that bothered before but my aunt pointed out how tiny I was compared to her son and I think its pathetic too. Is anyone else like this?

yeah, she's 21. innit.
My waist is 25 and my hips are around 32ish. It's annoying - so hard to find size 6 these days. My bf wants to buy me a Northern Ireland football shirt and the only one that would fit me was a large child's size!

Personally, I think attractiveness is more to do with how in proportion you look, than what actual measurements you have. You're a tiny girl height-wise, so having a much bigger waist or wider hips just would look wrong on you.
Are you sure your hips are 29"?

Where do you buy clothes?

But how in proportion you look is directly related to your measurements. If you have disproportionate measurements, then you'll look disproportionate.

How old are you?

I meant size in relation to height. Sorry for the vagueness. If the OP was six foot and had those measurements, she'd look wrong! But for her height, her measurements would be about right.

i think it's a little more to do with height also. it's the individual and their body composition. a 5ft person could have a 28 inch waist and 38 inch hips and still have a low body fat percentage thus look perfectly fine.

op, i think without pictures only you can decide. or perhaps ask people close to you? maybe even see a doctor if you prefer a professional opinion.

are you naturally small? i have a friend who's a little taller than you and has a 22inch waist and 34 inch hips but she looks soooo much smaller but not to the point where she looks wrong.

you said your bmi is 19 and although bmi is usually a bit crap, at least it tells you that, for your height, you're at a healthy weight?

Yea I don't find it that hard to get clothes to be honest I usually get size 6 at next and similar places.

Would I be classified as a midget?
You're not a midget. According to Wikipedia, that's generally the term given to those below 4' 10''.

Point taken. :p: Though I actually read the post twice to make sure I wasn't going to get loads of people saying "X age, duh...". This is why no sleep for two days is dumb.

Ah, whatever, it's only an internet forum!

I wouldn't say I look underweight just on the thin side, I mean my legs look normal and my upper half is thin lol, can't see my ribs or anything.

ah don't worry about it then. comparing yourself with your seven year old male cousin isn't ...good. lol. my very skinny brother has the same size wrists as me, same size upper arms/forearms and is only a couple or so inches more than me waist-wise yet you should see us both. he's so so so much skinnier than me it's unbelievable. so as long as you're happy with your appearance and you're healthy, don't sweat : -)

Are you measuring at the right place? For your hips, you have to measure at the widest part of your torso.

I wear a size 6 and I have 35" hips, so I don't see how you could wear size 6s without them being incredibly baggy on you, unless you're measuring in the wrong place.

it's one of the mysteries of the sizing world perhaps. that girl with the 34" hips i mentioned up there? she's a uk size 4 and even that's baggy on her.

actually. not so much the sizing world... i suppose it just emphasizes how individual everybody's body composition is really.

Yea Ive just measured again lol, 29 inch loose, 28 if I pull it tight. The size 6 seems to fit me
You're measuring around your butt, right?

The widest part of my hips is just above the butt. There is a part that is a bit wider looking from the front but that is around my thighs, way below the hip bone.
