GCSE sociology? Help for someone who would like to work in health.

Please Help!!! Got to pick my last option and I don't know whether to take sociology or something else, like art or child development.

I would like to be a doctor when I'm older but I'm not sure what to take for GCSE's. I already have;
Maths
English
Triple science (at out school top set have to take it)
History
French
PE

I would like to do sociology as it sounds really interesting and maybe useful for understanding people's problems if I do become GP or something. The trouble is I don't really like citizenship and humanities and don't feel I am as strong in those subjects, despite my grades. I also don't know loads about it yet and would it be too much writing along with the other subjects?

Any advice would be useful - anyone who has taken sociology or anyone with other recommendations for subjects!
