GCSE FURTHER MATHS- Is it too late?Watch
we were doing college applications today and i was thinking about doing a level maths and a level further maths.
I was just wondering would it be harder to take it if I haven't done GCSE further maths? I only got told today by my teacher that the school can do the GCSE and that he'll help me prepare for it but I am just think isn't it too late?? without revising I can get a B on maths but with I can get either A/A*. but thats only with normal maths. What shall I do? Is it worth it?
If you were to take the further maths GCSE, I'm sure it would be a lot easier for both of those subjects at A-Level. On the other hand, a lot of schools don't offer the fm at GCSE and their students still manage at A-level!
Remember at the end of the day that the normal maths GCSE is the one that will count the most. If doing the FM GCSE is going to put your result there in any kind of doubt, I wouldn't take it. I do both and it's a fair amount of work.
