My Resignation - among others

I hereby resign from my position as moderator on TSR. It is with some regret and sadness that I have come to this decision.

I’m sorry it has come to this, there are a number of reasons for my resignation but the main reason is a matter of principal.

The site is no longer a site for the users, it is 100% a business, I can’t knock CN for this because he bought it as a business and that is fair enough. But it has, and will continue to change the whole ethos of the site and I don’t wish to be a part of that side of things.

I wish the site all the best, and I’m sure I’ll continue to lurk and post occasionally.

You realise moderators are replaceable? Don't be such a drama queen Dave.

If half a dozen of you throw your toys out of the pram and walk out, then all that will happen is that there will be half a dozen new mods added, and life will go on.

If it is a simple case of you sticking to your principles, then good on you, but otherwise I don't know what you hope to achieve.

You guys are experienced, sure, and I know myself it takes a few weeks to bed in, even as a minimod, but that's all. Three months or three years moderating, I don't think there is much difference. Of course if a number of you walk out then we will lose experience, but that loss will only be temporary. Certainly the new mods, like FDL, are full of potential, and I can list half a dozen people who are fit to moderate too.

Anyway, good luck wherever you go from here Dave.
