I don't see the point in getting married if its just to sign some papers! I want a rocking good party.

When I get married next year Im having something simple, not too OTT. There will be lots of people there of course, but it wont be anything like Jordan and Peters wedding, if thats the sort of thing you mean!! :p:

It depends on the person really. One of my friends is going to Australia to get married in Nov, and its just going to her, her husband to be, and her daughter, and 2 more people.

If I could marry my fiance tomorrow I would, but I still like the idea of having a nice, big wedding with everyone there.

I'm a stereotypical girl in that I have been planning my wedding since I was 5. And its definitely not just 'signing some papers'! Although I do have a friend who has just got engaged and has no idea what she wants at her wedding, so I guess everyone is different. And anyway, whats most important is who you are marrying. I could marry the right person wherever, whenever, and however.

Do you really need to ask???

Seriously though, I think the majority of girls want their wedding day to be something special, so that includes the whole big dress, fancy venue, lots of guests etc... Although, saying that, every girl is different so you can't really generalise.

as long as i get to wear a nice big, white dress, i don't care how big or small the wedding is!
I'm dreading my wedding if I'm getting married to someone who would want all that crap!? Hope its a no-fuss guy, this hypothetical fiance! My parents, or at least my mother wants me to have something big as her only daughter, she'll go mad if I wasn't in a white dress I think. For me though, I'd go to the very opposite end of the world, then I wouldn't have to ask the neighbours (parental request-slash-order!) and no-one except really close people would come. I'd have a registry office type thing, no big white dress or anything, then have the best party in the sun with all my friends

Why are you asking? And what would you like - big major thing or...well, a little more subtle?

Honestly, I'd rather keep the money. I've never been too fussed about what my wedding will be like, althought I'd quite like for all my family/friends to get together and have a good time. Having said that, I want to wear a nice white dress at some point, and I'd like a gorgeous engagement ring too, and a glam rock tribute band lol.

As long as it's to the right person, the wedding itself isn't the important bit, it's the being married that should have the focus.

I would like a small ceremony but a big party and an amazing/expensive/long honeymoon  But I am not a typical girl.
