Head Boy

I have to write an application why i want to be head boy. Can someone please tell me why someone would want to be head boy i have no idea what to write. I knwo i want to do more for the school etc what else?

By writing down anything you've found here in your application form, it isn't really your reasons for wanting to be head boy anymore, and it's just telling the people who will read your application what they want to hear, so I'm not going to give you any 'Copy and Paste' reasons.

I suggest you take some time to think about how and in what ways you would make the best head boy in your year and talk about any ideas and initiatives you have in mind.

If you don't no why you want it, then do you REALLY want it? Or is it all about trying to make your personal statement look its best?

Write it in a letter form, don't just talk about why you want to be a head boy, talk about traits that you have that would make you a good head boy, and things such as what you would hope to achieve, throw in a couple of examples which could relate to you being a good head boy.

I had to do the same (I'm Head Girl) so in mine I just basically wrote;

*Why I wanted to be Head Girl (for me it was to make some changes in how we as sixth formers are treated, and to provide more activities - but as the above poster said, just explain your own personal reasons)
*Why I think I'd be a good HG (organisation skills, dedication etc etc)
*What I plan to do after sixth form and why I think being HG will help/be good for me (build up confidence, help me with planning for uni etc)
*A couple of ideas that I wanted to put into effect

I finished mine with asking how good the pay is (as a joke of course!)....but obviously edit your humour to suit whom ever is gonna be reading your app! lol

yeah a good bit of banter never goes amiss. i was bartending for the governors at speech day and asked the headteached for ID. obvio he loved it cos he made me head boy like a fortnight later.

now i just strut around like i own the place
