find x? 2log(base 4) x - log(base 4) (x+24) = 1?

I know you have to write the LHS as a single logarithm first, but i'm not sure how

use the subtraction law which states that,
log(A) - log(B) = log(A/B)
and the power law which states that
klog(A) = log(A^k)

so
working in base 4...

2log(x) - log(x+24) = 1
therefore
log(x^2) - log(x+24) = 1
therefore
log[x^2/(x+24)] = 1

therefore
log[x^2 / (x+24)] = log(4)

x^2/(x+24) = 4

then solve
