Really showing that your diet has worked

 Today another of my friends commented on how much weight I have lost. I've lost about 2lbs since Sunday which is really good and proves that my fear of a plateau being reached is not true.2 stone and going strong!

Does everyone else feel really motivateed when people compliment your weight gain all oer again when motivation starts wearing a bit thin?

Also I'm trying to not have pasta for tea anymore just like quorn and some cottage cheese and veggies as I heard that we don't need carbohydrates(or too many I sometimes have one weetabix as a supper thingi if my calorie intake hasn't been too high) too much for the evening as we sleep a lot?

=]
I'm just under 10 stone/10 stone atm and damn it feels good!

Wow well done

I want to lose a little weight soon, 10 stone sounds fab
Congratulations, but having read your other thread (where you mentioned your strict eating restrictions) do take care and make sure you stop when you reach your goal weight. You don't want it to go too far.

The majority of your diet should come from carbs (and not just simple carbs like in fruit) so you should probably still keep the pasta. If you haven't already then switch to wholemeal pasta.

Well done on your weight loss, I'm trying to lose about 3 stone which is going to take forever...

I'm not on a diet but I must say I do love it when people comment saying I look a lot healthier (which is usually caused by being at uni and not eating as much as at home ) - I can really see how it would help you while on your diet!

Keep up the good work and keep us posted on your progress!

Aw well done and good luck for the rest! I've lost about 1 and a half stones maybe a bit more since last summer, most of it fairly recently, and it's only recently that I've started to get comments like "oh you're looking thin" (in a good way) and getting told I'm the same size as a girl who's body I admire and it is nice and motivating, though I know now I don't need to lose any more weight, it is slightly addictive, which is why I'm just trying to maintain my weight now.

I'll keep you posted=]/
Yeah tha'ts what I thouhgt about the carbs as well =\ I still have some carbs in the evening, just not as many as lunch and my biggest calorie meal I try and have at lunch(sometimes unavoidable at school though=]
I've only got about 15-18lbs(ish) to go now
I don't know whether to aim for 9 stone or 8 stone 8.
I also need to consider the fact that I need to slowly work back into a normal diet again and not just rush back and start eating cake for every meal or something =]

awww well I follow a 1000 calorie a day diet excluding fruit and vegetables(but have these in moderation but don't limit too much=] their good for you and all, theirs some days I eat a whole pineapple o.o and some days when I only have bits of fruit (as well as my limit). try and stick to 1000 as much as possible, dont go too much under because otherewise your metabolism will suffer. have a treat once or twice a week and make sure its about 100-200 calories each time and by treat i mean chocolate etc and include that in your intake(or out if you only have it once a week, the treat), dont completely restrict yourself because that will result in binging. Be prepared for times in your diet when things will go wrong but dont "punish" yourself by starving yourself or whatever for the next day, just think "that's a bad day but I can just carry on with my diet NOW ".I know it's hard but don't get into the habit of saying you'll eat healthy tomorrow again because that's just getting back into bad habits. I've had about 3-5 MAJOR slip up's in my nearly 4 month diet ,so it won't be perfect. Just be determined =]. Also I found I couldn't be bothered with excericise mainly due to " laziness " which I realised was actually lack of self confidence. so now I go to the gym three times a week and do half an hour on the cross trainer and at least 10 laps swimming =]
Good luck,I'm sure you can do it,just take it one step at a time and in a month you will definetely see some visible results=]]]
good for you. at the end of the day our health is all he have. and it sounds like your going to have yours for a good long spell.

yay!!!!!!!
Well done, it must feel good to be nearer the size you want. How long have you been dieting.
I'm on a diet at the moment and in my first week I've lost 5lb which I'm really pleased with. Only 27lb to go and hoping to lose that in 5 months which I hope is going to happen.

My BMI is actually squarely in the overweight range. I'm sick of making excuses for myself. I just deal with the fact that every year I get 1/2 stone heavier and I can't keep doing it. I was practically a size 8 when I started uni and now I struggle to stuff myself in a 12. I'm 10 stone at the moment and I'd rather be just under 7 1/2.

I at least want to lose a stone before mayweek so I don't have to go to all the balls in a sack.

Not to put a downer on things but actually people who are slightly overweight tend to live the longest...

I'm about 10 stone 5, so I feel your pain. But yeah, you really just look toned

It's Trinity food, I consume SO much carbs here.

Well done! It sure feels good when people comment on weight loss. Wait for a few years and old friends won't even recognise you anymore!

I'll probably get a bit of stick for saying this, but at the stage you're at - if it ain't broke, don't fix it. You can often end up over complicating the whole process and losing motivation.

I once lost 6 stone eating nothing but a bowl of cocopops for breakfast and a microwave curry for dinner, what a diet that was.

I'm very very short though so for me 10 stone is way too much.

I don't think my diet has changed too much, for me it's the amount of exercise I do, what I eat doesn't appear to have much bearing on my weight (within reason), I have to do some serious exercise to shift any weight.

... that said, I eat much worse food here than I do at home. I don't have a kitchen on my floor so it's way more convenient to go to hall where you can choose from one of three food groups: carbs, fat, and dead animal.
