A mediocre man's journey to.... something less mediocre?

6/3/17

Been on a right bender over the early portion of the weekend so was happy with how today went... not doing that again for a good month or 3

OHP
45kg - 6, 6 (last rep grind but actually never stalled)
35kg - 10 (almost attempted 11th but it was a firm no)

Happy with this, will up weight for next time

Pendlay Rows
47.5kg - 10, 10
RPE 7/8, slowly increasing weight and reps as forearm is much better today but not more than 85% of normal

Would have benched but SO busy so cba. Some monsters in today, American football boys plus the regulars. 3 plate benching and 4/5 plate deadlifting... v motivating tbh

Pull ups
10, 9
Arm felt surprisingly ok with these. Felt harder than before but same reps so fine

Hyperextensions
12
+15kg - 8, 8

Facepulls
7kg - 12
11kg - 14, 14
(weight may not have increased much but form is way better on these, 1/2 - 1 second hold with scapula retracted)

Finished with 20 mins on bike

Haven't weighed myself in a while, would guess 69/.5kg is morning weight

Arm isn't totally 100% but happy enough
nice pressing

Did gym yesterday, nothing of note.
Arm bit sore so going to leave it until arm is fine. Light deads (like a plate) gave pain so not great)

Need to learn from previous mistakes, no point training through it as that'll only make it worse.

He went out into the sun and evaporated due to his ginger paleness
By now, surely someone owes me high rep deadlifts

Vms. Melted like butter in a pan.

I hope I can resurrect this blog soon.

In other news, became a member of the 'got a 2:1' crew :h:

Thanks boys!
I'm straight into work though, if you guys want any life insurance then i'm your man
I am gyming it btw.

Get paid in under a week so booking a physio to see what they say.

Golfer's elbow is a fair bit better but not like normal. Painfully slow progress.

Knee is also better but again maybe 60% of normal.

So i'm not inactive and can thankfully break sweat consistently now but not able to really start training like I want to.

Possibly gonna apply to the Police soon so gonna have to get my fitness up a fair bit and cut out the drugs... (That's a joke!)

Sickening update, kpeaceoutbye
Been a decent 2 months since my last update.

Lifting regularly now and 90% recovered, can actually grip stuff.

However was training for my fitness test last 2/3 weeks

Got to level 11 on the bleep test which was ok I suppose. The last man standing in my section... Although maybe that says more about the poor fitness of the average applicant than my fitness being any good

Focus is now on lifting again. Gonna try and be consistent, continue to recover and make some mutha****ing gainz

Will log a bit more if my training becomes interesting ie PB territory
