Anyone else going to the open day on friday? I am because a lot of my mates are and I want to get the day off school! Also, the eng lit course looks good, although I prob won't end up applying there because it is too close to home

The English Lit course is superb at Reading. I did four years there, 3 as an undergrad and one as a postgrad in the English department.

Go to the open day, it's well worth the visit because you'll be able to meet staff and see the campus.

Thought you might be interested to see that Richard Sambrook (ex-head of BBC News, now head of the World Service) is a graduate of the English department at Reading University:
