So I'm following the reaction between potassium manganate (VII) and Ethanedioc acid. Which can be stopped by adding potassium iodide, which forms iodine and stops the manganate ions from reacting further.
I will then titrate this solution with sodium thiosulphate
Im trying to get at a reaction for all of this so far I have
5H2C2O4 (aq) + 2KMnO4 (aq) +3H2SO4 (aq) → 2MnSO4 (aq) + K2SO4 (aq) + 10CO2 (g) + 8H2O (l)
MnO4- (aq) + 5I- (aq) + 8H+ (aq) → Mn2+ (aq) + 21/2 I2 (aq) + 4H2O (l)
I2 (aq) + 2S2O32- (aq) → 2I- (aq) + S4O62- (aq)
