Am I allowed to re-use parts of my own personal statement I wrote two years ago for UCAS?

It was a great personal statement and really summed me up. Not sure I'd be able to make a better one.

I don't think so, because doesn't UCAS have this system where it compares all past PS to the newer ones..

    Yes you can.

The software will flag it but your universities won't be notified because UCAS will recognise that you're the same applicant.

But does copying your own work count as plagiarism?

It can do in university work.

In the case of UCAS PSs it is allowed.

It's fine to use in theory, but remember what you include should be relevant to your current situation

Thanks guys. I also contacted UCAS. For those who were unsure or sceptical, UCAS on Facebook confirmed that you can reuse your own work. So long as it is indeed your work.
