the guy is (most likely south) indian. a lot of it is indian food.
dosa is a type of crepe pancake made from lentils/rice. chutney is a sauce made from sugar, vinegar and vegetable/fruit.
Aaloo Paratha is a flatbread stuffed with potato, onion and spices, with the bread dough itself being enriched with butter and it is fried in clarified butter on a pan/hotplate and
chicken saalan (assuming it is the same as chicken salaa) is chicken in gravy(usually the gravy consists of onion, tomato, spices, and the meat, in this case chicken).
Daal Chawal is chickpea curry and achar is pickled fruit/veg (e.g. ambo achar is mango pickle in marathi)

Snacks: Namak Paree - some type of fried flatbread
Gulab Jamun-fried sweet dumplings in syrup (usually flavoured with cardamom)
Mango Lassi - mango yoghurt (although in india they bizarrely refer to yoghurt as buttermilk)
and Chai is tea (masala chai is tea flavoured with cinamon, nutmeg and other spices, usually fennel or cardamom)
(edited 8 years ago)
3 scoops shake
199g banana

250g brown rice
300g skinless fish
90g pumpkin
Breakfast - 2 slices of toast and water
Dinner - sandwich
Tea - tofu Schnitzel and rice, soy yoghurt
Snack - bit of vegan chocolate

Gotta love spending 6 hours + 1 1/2 running over in the lab from 12-7.30...

What about poppadum (papar to keep it simple) with daal chawal and achar. It adds to the flavour. Excellent menu btw, very tempting. I think you should also try sambhar and idli with your dosa and chutney (rava is even better)
My BMI is 21.48 and I eat a lot....

Breakfast
Bowl of natural yoghurt with muesli and a chopped banana on the top
Orange juice

Snack at 11
5 chicken wings, deep fried (I don't eat these often but still)

Lunch at 12:30
Tesco Egg and Bacon Sandwich, Crisps, Bottle of Fanta

Snack at 4
60g nut, fruit and chocolate mix
One chocolate chip cookie

Dinner later on at 7:30
Thai Green Curry with copious amounts of rice
Probably a cookie and an orange too

It is worth pointing out that as well as this I aim to drink at least 3 litres of water throughout the day.
Also for those trying to eat more healthily, it is far better to eat 6 small meals a day instead of 3 larger ones. Work out too! Many gyms have a special deal if you join during January!
90g rice
100g fish
50g pumpkin

4 scoops shake
2 ricecakes
150g cottage cheese
Spicy beef noodles (2 packs of beef noodles, lots of pepper and hot chilli sauce)
Vindaloo (tin) with brown pasta (180g)
Proton powder
Coffee x 4
Water x 6l so far

Considerin' dat dere Pap John's though as he jus' text me tellin' me I could have one for 50% :sogood:

Wow this fills me with confidence, other people seem to eat little and weigh lots. You are the other way around.
Do you do a lot of exercise on this amount of food?
Breakfast: porridge with blueberries&raspberries, 3 egg whites
Morning snack: greek yogurt with honey
Lunch: grilled turkey, cous cous spinach & peppers
Snack pre workout: peanut butter & banana sandwich
Post workout whey protein with 8oz of milk
Dinner: grilled salmon & roast veg
Evening snack 2 rice cakes with almond butter

I weight train and follow a fairly strict meal plan, I'm a massive believer of "don't eat less, eat better."

My BMI is around 19-20.
