what does this mean and how would i use it?
even functions: if f is an even function then
f(x)=f(-x)

eg x^2=(-x)^2

odd: if g is odd then
g(-x)=-g(x)
eg (-x)^3=-(x^3)

u can use this to work out if a funtion is odd or even or neither

eg
f(x)=x^2-2
apply f(-x) = (-x)^2-2 =x^2-2 =f(x) therefore even
