    Please can someone clarify, does lattice dissociation enthalpy = lattice formation enthalpy?

    As in ΔHf - ΔHat of metal - ΔHat of non-metal - ΔHi of metal - ΔHea of non-metal = ΔH of lattice formation/dissociation

    If that makes sense (in terms of Born-Haber cycle). Thanks (I'm taking my Chemistry with the AQA exam board if that helps)?

    Formation is the opposite of dissociation. They'll have the same value, just opposite signs, i.e. formation is -ve.
