    Hi

I am 28, qualified as a lawyer in Australia and moved to the UK last year. After much reflection I have decided that legal practice is not for me and, in particular, that I want to move into working in science. Every aptitude test I have done as an adult has said I should do science, engineering or teach in those areas. I have recently taken some science MOOCs online and really enjoyed them. I haven't completely settled on the idea, but I am thinking environmental consultancy - land/water contamination.

As I already have a degree I am reluctant to embark on another undergraduate course (3-4 more years) unless absolutely necessary.

Is there some graduate certificate/diploma, masters or other pathway I can take to move into science?

    Thanks!

Are you looking for a part-time or full-time course? I'm a real fan of Birbeck's evening courses, which allow you to work and attend 'night school'. I don't live in London but if I did, I would definitely attend some courses here. Otherwise, have a look at SOAS as well. I'm sure they will have something relevant courses.

Have a look at jobs you may be interested in and what qualifications they require. Then look at what you need to do to gain those qualifications.
