hey, I'm not arab, nothing arab about me, but i was reading this post out of curiosity, and I really love the quote from Queen Rania of Jordon..
Just thought I'd mention that!
Some of the things she says really are spot-on. It's a shame not many other Arab Queens/Princesses say the same...

And I thought Arabs were the decedents of Prophet Ismaa'il (A.S). They are a race after all, aren't they?

Well no.

There are 3 types of Arabs, one don't exist anymore.

The second are from Yeman and this is who Prophet Ism'aeel (peace and blessings be upon him) learned Arabic from, his decendents are the third group of Arabs. His are known as Arab musta'riba.

Notice he became one by learning the language from others.
According to good old wiki, another group called 'Pure Arabs' who are the decendents of Prophet Nooh's (A.S) son, Shem...still exist today.

I don't really know this sort of thing. As far as I'm concerned, Arab league member= Arab. :p: Although, Somalia, Djibouti and Comoros are semi-Arabs...I assume.

Somalia and Djibouti are the same country in my book. And yes they are Arabs, not semi. And screw the Arab league while we are at it.

Lol, that took me a while. I'm sure some of us can speak arabic, we just opt not to...I for starters, would end up making a complete spectacle of myself, as I tend to speak the Saudi/Khaleeji dialect, but I'm not one.

You might not believe this but the Sudanese accent is so close to the Saudi one sometimes I can't tell the difference.
