AQA GCSE Food Technology Mark Question?

Hi

I got an overall of a low A on my food cwk folder and a low B on my design and making (60% of final grade) ... together that adds up to a mark of 85!

What do i need to get in my exam(40% of final grade)... how many marks ... or what grade to ensure at least a final mark of C overall in food tech .

I have been told not very much based on the 60% of my grade.

Thanks.
Ben

Hiya,
With your cwk grade you should only need 10-20% for a C pass. This is based on the fact that last year when I was doing my GCSE's a couple of people in my class only neede 9% in the exam to get a C and there work was a high A grade. You shouldn't worry about getting a good grade as the exam is very straightforward and to be honest not at all difficult IMHO.
Good Luck with your exams.

When I did food, last year, I didn't even finish the coursework. I think it was just over half finished, and I done the exam and ended up with a C. The exam is really easy, nothing to it in my opinion. Also, with you having done so well on your coursework, you won't even need to do much in the exam.

No i agree ... just i like to know how much lol ....

Personally i think Food should be worth 2 GCSE's like my applied sci and ICT .... it carries around about the same %'s.

O well lol ... but if anyone can tell me HOW much i would have to do and answer my question above ^^^ it would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Ben

i got full marks on my tech coursework but we still need to put tons of work in to get a good grade
we were told that each year the grade boundaries change
it's sumert like the top 3% in the country get A*'s and then they work out the rest of the grades from that
sounds weird how they do it but that's exam boards for you
