I accidentally looked up something illegal because my friend gave me a slang term and I didn't know what it was and looked it up and it was illegal. Then j got a pop up message about the FBI fines. What should I do?

I wouldn't worry unless you looked up how to make a bomb. What exactly did the message say?

for simply looking something up? are you sure its not spam? If it was illegal to look up then surely they would have blocked the search to prevent people?

The pop-up is scareware. It's a scam that's been around for many years.
