Concern over OCR History Specification Watch

    I'm doing AS History.

    I was having a look over the OCR A-level History specification, when I came across something which troubled me. On page 10, titled 'Routes through AS', it says 'Candidates will enter for either unit F961 with unit F964, or for unit F962 with unit F963.' I am concerned because I have been taught 'The Early Stuarts and the Origins of the Civil War 1603–42', which comes under F961, and 'From Autocracy to Communism: Russia 1894–1941', which comes under F962. The specification implies that these cannot be taken together for AS. I'm worried about whether this is indeed the case, and what will happen if this is true, because I have been taught a F961 unit and a F962 unit. Has my teacher made a fatal mistake?

    That's the old spec. Take a look at the new one and see if there's still any issues:
