Hey, my accommodation have decided to evict me over one late payment. Where do I stand on this? What's the appeal process? Does anybody have any experience with this?

Received a letter on the 12th January at my home address saying "If the fee is not received by the 13th January we will take steps to terminate your licence."

One day doesn't seem like ample time to make a payment. I haven't received any email correspondence with reminders or anything at all, both on student and personal accounts. Online portal has let me pay all outstanding balances too. Student loan came in (late, I think?) on the 11th January.

Over the phone, they said they can defer the payment till my student loan comes in, but I'll be charged a "late fee" of £30 (which is whatever).

Any help / advice would be appreciated x
