Do AS levels count towards UCAS points?

I am currently studying 3 A-Levels which are Law, Sociology and Englsih Language. However I have decided to not complete my full 2 years of gaining the qualification and taking a course instead.

However, is there a point in completely my AS Levels? Do Unis take it into account at all or would it be better for me to drop out of sixth form now and doing work experience or an apprenticeship until September when I can apply for my 2 year course which is Visual Media and Journalism?

Many thanks.

Lucie
If you apply to a course that looks at UCAS tariff points for its entry requirements, then yes, they do take them into account! On their own, AS levels are worth half the points that a full A level is worth e.g. if you get an A at A level it's worth 120 points, so an A at AS level is worth 60 points.

It depends on your circumstances I guess, as to whether it's worth completing the AS courses or not, you have to do what's best for you!

Hope this helped in some way
