Oh, so the only other option for a woman in how she conducts herself around a man is to 'scrape a man off her shoe' if she doesn't want to clamber over herself to get to him?

Obviously you are very bitter and immature. No point justifying anymore of your responses with a reply. Good luck to you in gaining perspective!
The point is you said that no reasonable woman would do it. Do you purport to speak for all "reasonable women" or is it that you find the notion of a woman expending effort in order to get a man so patently obtuse due to your low opinion of men?

Yes please stop replying as you don't have anything to add but ad hominem.

After all it's not like we are forcing them to become citizens
It's our fault for having an attractive society/welfare system, an Imperial history, elected Labour Crony Capitalist puppets who determined to invaded Iraq, and failing to fix all the world's ills. These people have no choice but to come to this one of 190-odd countries, and attempt to settle, permanently. We may as well hold a gun to their head, and to expect integration, never mind gratitude, is preposterous. How dare we!? :dunce:

. We may as well hold a gun to their head,
Funnily enough someone did use that comparison

Imo if you're going to live in the country you should speak the local language, citizen or not
That'd lead to less economic dynamism, and the cities like London would suffer (prime-central/luxury property market is on the rocks as it is)

actually living there you should learn the local language
Perhaps enough to get by with the basics, but unless you're resident/settling/seeking citizenship I don't think it should be a requirement - especially if you speak English (fast becoming the world language)

    Don't quite get it?

Oh yeah if you're there for a month on a business trip then obviously not but if you're intending to live there you should learn the local language. It should be required.

In this way, women are denied the basics of freedom to choose and are completely under the thumb of their spouse and male relations
'Neomasculinists' like Roosh V seem to think that's no bad thing :dontknow:

it's not wrong making it a condition of citizenship for those who CHOOSE this option
That awkward moment when a liberal mixed heritage kid makes a more imposing demand on immigrants than a (presumably) somewhat conservative 'indigenous' person :innocent:

Someone puts a gun to your head, cocks the hammer, pulls the trigger and you're supposed to feel grateful that they didn't have a bullet chambered?
It's unclear how this is relevant to UK Muslim women enjoying the privilege of UK citizenship :dontknow:

Is this how you think we make people apply for citizenship
Gone are the days of Ms. Moneypenny coming to check up on you in the waiting room, offering you a sausage roll and a million dollar smile

Cameron wants to turn people into tradeable commodities. That is the issue
If, by this, you mean e.g. that the political puppets of Crony Capitalists wish to relegate constituents to little more than factors of production and/or consumerist pawns, then I can relate to that sentiment. Don't see a link here, however, he's just trying to control the chaos (in the country/party)

I suppose you are aware then, that there is no such language as "indian", and there are numerous unrelated languages used in different parts of the country, and one of the really unifying languages is, in fact, english
    Well said!

if you cannot communicate outside of your family or community, that is a problem, specifically if you intend to settle
True, but quite how much of a problem it is depends on a number of other factors. If you're one of only a handful, and are an otherwise decent, law abiding, productive and pro-social resident then it's really no biggie

Migrants who move here should definitely learn the language of the country and make an effort to integrate. Gender segregation and any other discrimination against women should not be tolerated in the name of respecting religious sensitivities.

As for deporting them, I think that is excessive. When I see the way Brits who move abroad behave, they are actually worse than these migrants to Britain in most cases. They are entitled people who expect everyone to speak English and their lifestyle to be accommodated. Do you want other governments to deport Brits who don't assimilate into their culture?

The grateful part, yeah. We hang it over the heads of many people, especially migrants, refugees, and asylum seekers, for years on end
Literally never encountered anyone doing this IRL :dontknow:

Not every Muslim woman wants or needs to work in a fluent English speaking environment
Who said anything about fluency? :dontknow:

Most are housewives and look after the children so don't need to learn English
This is why state multiculturalism is such a cluster-fail. Attitudes like this are far more prevalent than people realise

    Yes

I expect if you want the state to support you and your children you should be able to ask for this in the language of this country
Agreed. It doesn't matter what language you speak normally, as long as you can speak English when it's necessary. I'd expect to have to do the same if I moved to Spain, for example.

unable to counteract arguments, it usually ends in a "Oh **** off if you don't like it" and a whole ball of spluttering and spit
Classic example of maintaining the moral high ground for a matter of seconds :facepalm2:

There are around 1.3 million Muslim women in the UK. 190,000 is not 22%
i.e. if it's 22% then we're talking closer to 300,000 people - in which case the problem is even bigger than the article indicates :yy:

the general population should stop accepting stats without applying some really basic critical thinking
By which you mean, for example..
